Let me introduce you to “Freddie,” my APQS longarm quilting machine.
Freddie arrived February 2017. APQS (American Professional Quilting Systems) machines are made in the USA in Carroll, Iowa. They are well-known for their excellent quality and great customer service, and they offer a lifetime warranty on their machines. The APQS Freedom (a.k.a. Freddie) is not their top of the line machine, but almost.
I had the option to choose an 8, 10, 12, or 14-foot length table with my machine. I chose a 12-foot table so I would have room to quilt at least a king size quilt when needed. It’s a tight fit in my sewing room, but we made it work. I’m sure it was an interesting site to see my husband handing me the 12-foot poles for the table through the front bedroom windows where I have my sewing room. The solid piece poles are a great feature to provide good stability to the table, but they don’t go around hallway corners well.
This is probably the least cluttered you will ever see my sewing room. I always have several projects in process.
